專業背景
Karen 是一位在香港成長及接受培訓的註冊社工及註冊藝術治療師。她曾到外地修讀藝術治療課程,持有加拿大藝術治療專業深造文憑,以及香港理工大學社會工作榮譽學士學位。她亦在香港大學進修特殊教育(殘疾及特殊學習需要)文憑。
在過去超過20年的專業生涯中,Karen 一直從事社會工作、臨床督導及大學教學工作。她曾在多間非政府組織、學校、復康中心及家庭服務單位提供輔導及藝術治療服務,服務對象涵蓋幼兒、兒童、青少年、家庭、照顧者、長者、殘疾人士及有特殊學習需要人士。她同時擔任多所本地大學的社工實習督導及兼職導師,致力培育新一代社會工作及輔導專業人才。
Karen 融合社會工作理論與表達藝術治療技巧,以人為本、重視實證及跨專業協作。她擅長處理複雜的精神及情緒個案、危機介入及家庭關係輔導,並持續進修多種治療模式,包括接納與承諾治療、靜觀認知治療、遊戲治療及戲偶治療等。
Professional Background
Karen is a registered social worker and registered art therapist who grew up and received her professional training in Hong Kong. She has studied art therapy abroad and holds a Professional Postgraduate Diploma in Art Therapy (Post-Master's level) from Canada, as well as a BA (Hons) in Social Work from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She also completed a Diploma in Special Education (Disabled and SEN) at The University of Hong Kong.
With over 20 years of professional experience, Karen has been working in social work, clinical supervision, and university teaching. She has provided counselling and art therapy services in numerous NGOs, schools, rehabilitation centres, and family service units, serving children, youth, families, caregivers, elderly, persons with disabilities, and individuals with SEN. She also serves as fieldwork supervisor and part-time lecturer for several local universities.
Karen integrates social work theories with expressive arts therapy techniques, adopting a person-centred, evidence-based, and multi-disciplinary approach. She specializes in complex mental health cases, crisis intervention, and family counselling, with advanced training in ACT, MBCT, Play Therapy, and Puppet Therapy.
